Compatibility & installation requirements
Matter: Compatible Matter controller and Thread Border Router.
Locking system: A compatible electromechanical motor lock or A-opener, appropriate low-voltage supply and wiring.
Installation: The installation manual requires qualified personnel. Only extra-low-voltage lines may enter the module’s flush-mounted box; mains power supplies belong in separate areas.
The official product overview explicitly assigns Matter to Thread. Built-in Wi-Fi provides Nuki remote access; it does not establish Matter over Wi-Fi.
Additional installation notes (4)
- This is a controller for an existing electromechanical lock, not a complete motorized lock or a general-purpose mains relay.
- Both output voltage and current ratings must be observed; support for dry-contact or switched-voltage signaling depends on the wiring configuration.
- Built-in Wi-Fi does not mean Matter over Wi-Fi. The official overview says Matter uses Thread.
- The official manual specifies Thread transmit power, but does not establish Router, REED or end-device network role.
Open compatibility questions (4)
- Thread Router / REED / end-device role
- Exact electromechanical-lock compatibility and wiring
- Exposure of the second output and input through Matter
- Allocated stock, destination delivery and professional installation cost
